DID YOU KNOW?
The first beer on the American continent was distilled in Quito, in 1566, in the Convent of San Francisco. The cloister of this temple was the place where the first beers began to be brewed by the priest Fray Jodoco Ricke, who brought the first seeds of barley and wheat to the country -although historical documents affirm that Pedro Martín Montanero owned a plot of land in the which had barley sown. To this raw material, some herbs and spices were added from the garden that exists to this day and that treasures the secrets of this alchemy of flavors and aromas.
