LAST DAY IN THE FUTURE
The challenge of reaching a consensus to achieve solutions to the problems of the future.
The delegates of POLITIKUM YEAR XXV developed several worksheets where they expressed their ideas and objectives for the challenges posed in the year 2025.
Negotiations and voting.
After three long days of negotiations within the committees of POLITIKUM YEAR XXV, the delegates were able to resolve world problems that, possibly, could never happen.
In CERCONU, where the reform of the Charter of the United Nations was discussed, 4 draft resolutions were presented that were finally approved by the majority of the delegates.
Regarding CEMCOVID, delegates approved two draft resolutions that seek the World Health Organization to obtain Israeli vaccines against COVID-22 to deliver equitably to countries that do not have access to them.
The delegates of the European Union, a committee that was developed entirely in German, approved two draft resolutions, ensuring the survival of this body.
Finally, the SCOSI (English) managed to solve the nuclear crisis with Iran, after having approved the two resolutions presented by the delegates.
The goodbyes...
Debates and work were not the only things happening during this simulation. Many delegates began to form friendships across the globe. It did not matter where you were from or if this was a
virtual simulation, delegates shared their contact information to always stay in touch.
This is one of the beautiful parts of having a virtual simulation. It does not matter which country you will represent, a new friend will appear at the end. Saying goodbye is the hardest part for everyone, but it is never the end. The relationships created always, somehow, are long-lasting.
SEE YOU IN OUR NEXT SIMULATION IN OCTOBER 2021!
