The planet begins to recover from the worst time in its history and prepares for the challenges of an uncertain future. The COVID-19 pandemic left more than 500 million dead and three billion infected worldwide. The economy shrank by more than 30%, bringing with it the highest unemployment and recession rates in human history.

As a consequence, the countries are facing new challenges never seen before in the international system since the end of the Second World War and the main problem continues to be the vaccination of the more than 8 billion inhabitants of the planet. Pharmaceutical houses have done the impossible to multiply the production of this important resource; However, global inequality has been generated on two axes: on the one hand, small countries continue to not receive enough doses, while developed countries store surplus vaccines in order to contain the new mutations of the virus, which has not given up since its appearance in 2020; and on the other hand, the vaccinated people demand that they be exempted from the measures of social distancing and confinement in order to somehow be able to work and reactivate the world economy that has been devastated by the little healthy workforce available.
