THE LOST COMMITTEES ENDS SUCCESSFULLY

After three days of debate and negotiations, the delegates put their ideas into final documents that were put to the vote.

A report that reflects the ideas to solve the problems planned in the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, two resolutions that seek to combat the mountains of biosafety material waste in the Arctic, and two others that seek to find solutions Textile pollution and poverty caused by climate change are the palpable results of a new POLITIKUM simulation.

During the closing ceremony, the Secretary General of the simulation, Marie Giebler, acknowledged the commitment of the participants to make the so-called "lost committees" more visible organizations in society. The POLITIKUM Board of Directors announced the winners and the next date on which participants from Ecuador and the world can be part of a new academic experience.

THE ARCTIC COUNCIL

During these three days of session, THE Arctic Council had an outstanding level of debate. In fact, the topic related to the improvement of mental health on Indigenous peoples of the Arctic bewas treated with the first one result, of two resolutions. 

Delegates implemented treatments regarding substance abuse and decided to create a safe space where people form Indigenous communities could express their emotion freely by increasing awareness within schools providing the Arctic with professionals who could treat patients with severe depression and anxiety. 

 

The second topic treated was the new threats regarding the pandemic pollution caused by COVID-19. Delegates encouraged to create the rest of the arctic members public policies in order to facilitate their own citizens to acquire eco-friendly personal protective equipment.

 

Overall, the debate brought to the table very innovative ideas, which will make the Arctic a better place to live!
